Located in the Charlemont Town Hall and serving the communities of Charlemont and Hawley. The Tyler Memorial Library has a strong collaboration with the Hawlemont School Library and is a part of the Western Massachusetts Regional Library System (http://www.wmrls.org).

For the past twenty years, Librarian Bambi Miller has actively been researching the role Charlemont played in the nineteenth century Abolitionist Movement. Through the efforts of fellow Librarians and Townspeople, Charlemont had two sites designated by the National Parks Service "Network to Freedom" July 2005.
