Happy Arbor Day

Charlemont Main Street Tree Committee hopes you celebrated Arbor Day, April 28th.

Checking on all our Main Street Trees from the grant we did three years ago. Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions about your tree. Anyone who would like to donate to Main Street Trees can do so by sending a check to Main Street Trees. Also, anyone who would like to still have a tree on Main Street should contact the group. The Charlemont Main Street Tree Committee is a committee created to replant trees on Main Street. We are applying for the Mass ReLeaf Grant (ext) through the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management (ext). This is a match grant to our money donations and based on a $10.00 hr. rate for volunteers. This is about our community working together to create a beautiful corridor as suggested by our Master Plan for Charlemont. However our deadline was March 1st 2003 for submitting the application.
